Oeneis chryxus and Oeneis tanana
About this Drawer
Nymphalidae – Satyrinae, Oeneis chryxus. Butterflies on the right side were separated by Ken Philip as being “different” and were later examined by Dr. Andy Warren of the McGuire Center for Lepidoptera and Biodiversity during a 2015 visit, who determined them as an undescribed species and included these specimens in his paper as paratypes of Oeneis tanana (Warren & Nakahara, 2016).
